Nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR), also known as nitrile rubber, is a type of synthetic elastomer derived from the copolymerisation of butadiene and acrylonitrile. Its properties make it a material that is particularly resistant to oils, fuels and chemical solvents. For this reason, it is mainly used to produce components for construction machinery and the aerospace industry.
